How To Store A Stright Cane

When we as blind people want a cane that never folds, we need to figure out how to deal with it when not in use. There are many different ways to both hold it and even set it aside. When you now the different ways of keeping your cane when dormant, this will make things much easier.

When you need to hold it yourself, ther is a special way to do so. You grip it about half way down the shaft with your fingers towards the sky. Your elbow will be ppointed to one side and this maes it to where the cane is out of your way but ready to use anytime.

The nedt thing to consider is to set the cane somewhere. When you do so, you need to eep two things in mind.

  1. Is this out of my way?
  2. Is this out of other people’s way? Great places to put your cane could be a corner, under furniture, or perhaps leaning between things like dressers.

When you figure out the perfect pattern to store your cane, it maes accessing it a breeze. You will have it out of the way of everyone but, have the ability to run off if needed. Little skills such as this can actually make a huge difference in the life of the blind.
